Comments
Comments Spx is activated by thiol-specific oxidative stress, and enhances the expression of reductases [PUB_0434, PUB_0435, PUB_0436]. Spx transcriptional regulatory activity described by several groups [PUB_0112, PUB_0420, PUB_0434, PUB_0435, PUB_0436, PUB_0437]. Doesn't directly interact with DNA. Effects transcription rates by interacting only with RNA polymerase [PUB_0434]. Site responds to the condition: thiol stress (1 mM l-cysteine, l-methionine, MgSO4, or diamide).
